We were snowed in for almost 3 days...

Snow Snow Snow!!!

It started snowing Thursday at 5:00pm and didn't stop until Saturday at Noon.

19+ inches and a lot of wind!

Of course, these things happen when Dana is out of town. He got stuck in Atlanta with Danielle for an extra 36 hours. I got stuck with 3 wild crazy monkeys!

Molly did not like the snow and cold! she cried a LOT!

Poor Luke doesn't have a winter coat or hat... So he looks like a girl in Bailey's hand me down pink coat and a sparkly green hat.

A Curious George Birthday for our Little Monkey!!!

It was a really cute cake.

Even with being sick, she still wanted to do presents.

Bailey's 3rd Birthday - Part 1

After coughing non-stop for over 24 hours and having a hard time breathing, we decided that it would be smart to take Bailey to urgent care to get her looked at. Mommy, Bailey and her new doll Stella all bundled up and headed to the doctor.

Bailey felt miserable and just couldn't stop coughing.

She tried to smile and be happy. They took X-rays and did a yucky nose test.

The good part was once they heard it was her birthday, they brought her presents!!

A Minny Mouse bubble set!

We passed a lot of time blowing bubbles and making a big slippery mess!

In the end they sent us home with antibiotics and no answers. It was a very frustrating 5 hours!

Thursday - Luke started coughing really bad!

By Monday all 3 had croup.

Many cranky coughy hours at night walking the kids.

Sitting outside breathing cold air was the only thing that made the coughing better.

Molly is so cranky and miserable.

The weather was perfect for a trip to the park to play with our new Christmas toys. Dana and Paca got remote controlled airplanes. Bailey got a new sled. Swings are always fun for Luke and Molly.

While we were playing, a bald eagle slowly flew right over-head. It was a spectacular sight. We all stopped and watched in awe.

Dana flew his plane straight into the tree... He had to climb up and get it out.

Santa brought Bailey a kitchen!!! She says she didn't hear him come in and she was listening for him... very confusing! He enjoyed the eggnog and cookies that she left for him and he left her a note saying thanks. Puzzles before cooking.

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Grammy and Paca's house. We had stew and bisects for dinner. After dinner, we had present time! Lots and Lots and Lots of presents. everyone was thoroughly spoiled! So many gifts... we are blessed!
Molly got a "sit and spin". Now she won't have to try and spin in the racetrack.

New Grammy, Paca, Old Grammy, Bailey, Luke, Molly, Mommy and Daddy all went to the Christmas light show at the butterfly Pavilion. So many pretty lights... the only down side was it was super cold and 95% of the lights were outside!

Luke and Molly enjoyed the first 10 minutes and then they were done! Lots of fits and tears!

Over all a great night filled with the Christmas spirit.

Grammy, Paca, Mommy, Bailey, Luke and Molly spent a cold snowy morning in the warmth of the butterfly pavilion. It was a perfect morning to go... we had the place to ourselves! Bailey got to hold Rosie the tarantella... Normally you have to be 3 years old but the man made an exception for Bailey. She loved it and said that Rosie tickled her hand.

Santa came to Bailey's house on a City of Westminster hook and ladder fire truck. W
We had an amazing party for all of our friends... 24 people for chili and potato soup while we waited for our special guest. He let all the little kids sit on his lap and passed out presents to all. Everyone except Molly had a great time... She was offened that we would invite someone so scary into her house and she cried for a majority of his visit.

Thanksgiving Day at the horse track -a family tradition.

We had to get to the track early because Rene & Marty had a horse running in the first race. Bailey, Danielle, Aunt Rene and Uncle Marty all got to go into the paddock to talk with the trainer and jockey before the race. It was a clod morning so everyone was bundled tight.
The #4 horse was ours and he looked good.

We watched 4 races and the Rene and I took the kids home for naps and to start cooking the feast. All 3 fell asleep on the car ride home so Rene and I drove for almost 2 hours. I got to see parts of town that i never knew existed... They live just a few miles away from a huge women's prison. We had such a great time visiting and talking while everyone slept. I have a great sister-in-law!!!

Thursday morning at 8:45, we started the birthday party.

Nothing is better for breakfast than chocolate birthday cake!!! On Wednesday, Miss Anna and Bailey made the most beautiful cake for the twins. As soon as Miss Anna walked in the door on Thursday, it was party time! Bailey got to sing and blow out the candles for Luke and Molly.
Molly liked the cake better than the yogurt I tried to feed her earlier.

Luke liked how it felt... he mashed it all around.

Bailey loved the cake that she worked so hard on.

This morning instead of really getting dressed, Bailey wanted to play dress-up.

The costume box provided hours of entertainment.

First, Nemo the fish. Then a ladybug...
On to the Horse... She runs while wearing it!

The caterpillar is a little large and heavy but still have to try it on.Ggggrrrrr says the Lion.... She looks in the mirror and then cries because the lion scares her.

This is really Luke and Molly's bear costume, but Bailey likes it. We have 2 matching bears and that is what the twins will be once Halloween really gets here.

The pumpkin is good except for the headband.

We took a day trip up the mountain to Nederland.

We went to ride the carousel...Little did we know that the National carousel association was in town and it was closed. When all the carousel people saw Bailey and the twins, they let us ride with them.

Bailey got to ride the blue heron which only fits small children.

the twins got to ride in the elephant basket. They were a huge hit with all of the group... Dana said it felt like the paparazzi... Lots of pictures of babies on the carousel!

After 3 trips on the carousel, we went to the park to play at the stream.

Dana taught Bailey to throw rocks in the creek.

Luke and Molly watched all the rocks being thrown.

Bailey fell in the creek. It was really cold and there were lots of tears!

It was a great day in the mountains!!!

Molly Joy is first!!! Her two front teeth broke through the surface today. Paca noticed them while we were changing her diaper in the back of the car before church. They are 2 tiny little pearly dots! She doesn't like showing them off so it is not the most flattering picture of her but you can see her teeth!!!

Danielle came to spend summer break with us!!!

Lightening Bugs

One of the best part of summer in Nebraska is lightening bugs!!!

We let Bailey stay up late and catch them. Bailey and Uncle Ty had a great time! A plastic jar with holes in the lid is the perfect lightening bug cage.
I love the look of amazement on her face. She was just amazed by the light.

She even got to catch them!!! They are very slow fliers!

Everyone helped catch so that there were at least 20 in her jar. It makes a fun nightlight. I wish we had them in Colorado!!!

Day at Lincoln Zoo

Paca, Uncle Ty, Mommy and 3 monkeys spent the morning at the Lincoln Zoo.

We spent July 1st - 9th in Lincoln, Nebraska to celebrate Mimi's 90th birthday. We had a great time with all of the family. Mimi loved the babies!!! And they loved her!!!
