Before and After

Before
After Bailey did not like having the nativity set up... she really liked it thrown all over the floor so that she could sit on the shelf.
Look how proud she looks about getting up!

Smiles, Smiles and more Smiles

Smiles, Smiles and more Smiles

Thank You Bunches!!!

We are teaching Bailey how important it is to write
thank you notes for gifts received. She got to write her own name.
She thought it was a lot of fun to watch the marks appear on the paper.
Thank you all for a blessed Christmas season! Thanks for all the love,
prayers and presents. I am spoiled rotten!!!
Love, Bailey

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning Excitement!!!
Bailey in her 1st Christmas jammies coming down the stairs. Daddy with "bed-head" and Bailey.
"Oh...I remember how to open presents. Look at me smile for the camera."
"Rip and Shred" She really only cared about the paper.

"I have been a very good girl, that is why I have so many presents."
Aunt Jana started the tradition of Bailey having her very own stocking at Ty & Jana's house.
It is the "Princess" stocking.
Pumpkin pie is one of Bailey's favorite foods. Look at the face of pure delight.

After all the morning fun, it was time to get cooking and cleaning. We had 17 people for Christmas lunch. Grammy, Mimi, Grandma, Grandpa, Ty, Jana, Jill, Dana, DJ, Jessica,Pastor Jack, Emma, Ken, Michelle, Michelle's dad, Mike, MaKenna, and Bailey. Pork Roast, mashed potatoes, homemade apple sauce, corn pudding, green beans, rolls,
and all the trimmings...plus pies, pastry and ice cream .
After Dinner we played games and Bailey figured out that there is a dog door...
"Hey, MaKenna... Look at what I found."
"I think we can make an escape."
After a long day of playing with her best buddy MaKenna, eating, opening more presents and even more playing, the best thing to do is curl up on Grandma's lap
for a little cuddle time and a nap.
It was the perfect Christmas!

The Night Before Christmas...

Bailey's First Christmas Eve
After dinner of chili and soups at Grandma's house, we all went to church for the Christmas Pageant and laughs. Then it was back to Grandma and Grandpa's to open all the presents.
This is Bailey's excited face! She wasn't quite sure of what to do but she quickly got the hang of ripping paper.
But she is still easily distracted.
She wasn't thrilled with more clothes.
Everyone was there to celebrate... Mommy, Daddy, Grammy, Uncle Ty, Aunt Jana, Mimi, Grandpa and Grandma... a full living room!
Bailey now has a special smile when she sees the camera. She shuts her eyes and scrunches up her nose and mouth. It is so silly.
Our pretty little girl opening more presents.
Grandpa got little bottles from Ty and Jana and Bailey thought they were just the perfect size to play with.
Uncle Ty and Aunt Jana got Bailey a sled, snow pants and boots! She is now ready for the hills.
A quick drink before sledding around the living room.
We had a blessed Christmas and received so many wonderful gifts! Thanks to everyone!!!

"What Child is This?"

What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary! Bailey had the honor of being asked to play the Baby Jesus in the children's Christmas pageant during the Christmas Eve service. She did really good for the first 7 minutes. She waved, blew kisses and just enjoyed being up with the kids.
Then she realized that nobody she knew was up there with her and started fussing.
So at our church, Mary and Joseph had their very own nanny to take care of Baby Jesus!

It was such a joyous celebration of our Savior's birth and an honor to be a part of it.
Merry Christmas!
There is a video of the entire performance, if any one is interested.
