The Brickyard - Part 8 - The end

Before our flight home on Sunday, we stopped at the Indianapolis Speedway and racing hall of fame. It was a fun stop. We walked the museum, saw lots of old race cars and took a trip on the actual track in a bus.
Bailey and Mommy on the bus ride around the track... we only got to go 20 miles per hour...Bailey was hoping for the 200 that the race cars get up to!

Dana and Bailey all ready to race!
The cars are not made for tall people... Dana had a hard time getting his legs in and an even harder time getting them back out. I stood and laugh and took pictures! Bailey liked steering!

This was our Thanksgiving trip to Kentucky and Indianapolis... Thanks for reading all 8 posts... If i could ever figure out how to get more than 5 pictures at a time i could have condensed all of this, but i am not sure i could have ever found one block of time big enough to do all of it.
Happy First Thanksgiving Bailey Rose!!!!
Love, Mommy and Daddy :)

Christmas time in the city - Part 7

We spent Saturday night in downtown Indianapolis. Dana took Bailey and I out to see all of the Christmas splendor. It was magical. They turn the war memorial in to a HUGE Christmas tree. there were horse drawn carriages, music and lights every where we looked! The view as we approached the down town square.
The tree... it was so huge!
Daddy and his baby girl in front of the tree. She was amazed by all the lights and people.
This tree has just about enough lights by my reasoning... I love the lights on a tree.

A beautiful reminder of the real reason for Christmas.
It was a great night in the city to start our holiday season off with a bang!!!

Smillie Reunion - Part 6

While we were back East, we had the pleasure of spending all day Saturday with some dear friends. The Smillie clan opened their house for 8 hours of play time! It was great to get to visit, play and re-connect with all of them. It is hard to believe that they moved 5 years ago. All the boys are so big!!! I got to meet the boy's wives, Lizzie and Leah, and the newest addition - Emma Grace (she is a month younger than Bailey.) It was an AMAZING day!!!! Pizza for dinner.

Bailey, Auntie Sarah and Teri in the background.
Bailey, Sarah, Emma and Nathan
They had just had 3 puppies the week before. They were so cute... looked like little rats without a tail. Bailey liked to look but we wouldn't let her touch them.
