1st official bath

After 4 weeks of wet wipes, sponge baths and showers, Dana and I finally gave Bailey her first official real bath this morning. She didn't much care for it. I think the problem was that the majority of her body was not in the water and it was cold. But she did get really clean and once again is a sweet smelling baby!

Very Blessed!

After having my husband traveling for his job the last 13 out out 19 days, I am realizing how completely blessed I am to have him! Dana is such a wonderful husband and father. The first 2 weeks of Bailey's life, i only changed 3 diapers because Dana does that job. He wakes up in the middle of the night to walk her and calm her down. He gets up early with her so that i can get just 30 more minutes of sleep. He spoils both of us completely!!! I am blessed!

Heart doctor

We just got back from the heart doctor...Bailey did GREAT. They did 2 EKG, an ultrasound and the doctor spent a lot of time just listening to her heart. We found out that she has 2 small holes in her heart...a PDA and a PFO (you can google them if you want more info). The doctor did not seem overly concerned so I am trying not to worry! We will go back in 6 weeks to see if they have closed on their own. Please pray that they close.

Bailey all hooked up to the EKG machine.

Busy, Busy Week!!!

We have had a busy week which accounts for my lack of posts. My grandmother and aunt were in town for the last week and a half. They loved, cuddled and just spoiled Bailey and me. It was wonderful to get to spend so much time with them. It was also perfect timing since Dana was out of town on a business trip.

On Tuesday, my goddaughter, Drew, asked if I would bring Bailey to her school for "show & tell". It was so funny! Drew told all about how they had to cut bailey out of my tummy. She made sure that everyone knew that bailey was her best cousin and that drew loved her. Bailey was the perfect baby and the hit of show & tell!!! I will add pictures soon!

Today, we get to go to Children's hospital and see a cardiologist for Bailey's heart murmur. We pray that everything is good.

More to come later...I have a crying baby that wants fed!!!

Baptism

Today Bailey was baptised at church. It was wonderful that we have so many family member with us. My dad's mother from Nebraska and his sister from New York are in town. Ty and Jana are the godparents. Sarah, Todd, Drew and Beau came to church for the event. In total there were 14 family member at the church for Bailey's baptism. She wore the gown that my paternal grandmother made for me and that i was baptised in. It is made of the same lace that my mom's wedding dress was made of. I love being able to carry on the tradition!

Bailey has not one but two great-grandmother. She is very lucky!!!
