Happy Memorial Day and Thank You!!!

Happy Memorial Day!!! And great big thanks to all of our men and women who are serving or severed in the military. We are grateful for all of your hard work!!!

Today Dana, Bailey, Grammy (my mother's mom) and I went down to Fort Logan National Cemetery, in the rain, to pay our respects to my grandfather. It was beautiful to see all the flags and flowers. We got there just as a ceremony was letting out so we got stuck in a horrible traffic jam, but it just gave us more time to look at the scenery. Even the rain didn't dampen the mood.

Bailey and her great-grandfather's headstone.

Rainy day girls!

Bailey's Aunt Jana ran in the Boulder Boulder in memory of Grampy. She did amazing. It only took her 1.5 hours. I would still be walking now! We are all so proud of her! I am happy that she is my friend and sister-in-law!

Toes and Talking

Bailey is getting much better at talking, but seems to only talk while her fingers are in her mouth. She sucks her whole hand and sometimes both hands. She has also found her toes this week. It is finally warm enough here that she is in pants instead of pajamas so her toes are free and fun to play with.

We went to the cardiologist yesterday. She now weighs 11 pounds 7 ounces and is putting on about 4-5 ounces a week. The scheduler will call us next week and we should have surgery in about 6 weeks. Keep praying that she continues to get fat! I think everyone will be happier when we are on the recovery side of this. The anticipation is hard on me! I can't imagine where they are going to put an IV in my little sweetie.

Yard Sale

This last weekend we helped Ty & Jana run a garage sale all weekend long... It was hard work but we all had some fun. Plus it cleaned out my house!

The best part of the weekend was when a little 4 year old boy was sitting on the porch talking with my mom and Bailey. Out of the blue he says "3 dollars for the baby!" We had to explain that the baby wasn't for sale. Jana then made price tags for bailey. (We could be a master card commercial.)

Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My!!!

Today we went to the zoo with our friends...
Michelle and MaKenna(5 months) and Amanda with Ethan and Tyler (3 months)

Lions

A very sleepy baby! We had a great day! We can't wait to go back.

Iced Tea

Bailey loves iced tea out of a glass. She watches the glass with her eyes like a little hawk and then when it moves she opens her mouth like a little bird. The whole thing was very funny to watch! Good laughs for my mom and I. She wanted more! PS - It was caffeine free herbal tea.

Week of Firsts

This has been a week of first for Bailey...
Sitting up like a big girl in her Bumbo Chair. She loves it because she get to be part of everything that is going on.

Wearing sunglasses at an Australian rules football game. Jana is playing and we all went out to cheer her on.

Rolling from our back to our...

TUMMY!!! Boy, she gets so mad because she HATES being stuck on her stomach.

And last but not least her first Mother's day... It was my first too... We had a great day even if the weather was cold and rainy. Thanks to all the mother-figures in our life! We love you all!!!!
