Dana and Jill went to Saratoga Springs, NY for our 5 year anniversary.
We flew out Thursday July 26th. the flight was 3+ hours late and we made it to NYC right at rush hour. We meet Aunt Lynne and Uncle Douglas for dinner (It was supposed to be lunch before we end up being so late.) It was wonderful to see them and catch up.
We then drove 3 hours north to Albany in a downpour.
Friday Morning we meet up with Rene and Marty and we spent the day at the
Saratoga Springs Horse Track. We had a great time exploring the historic track. It has a county fair feel with open picnic areas and food vendors. Everything is red and white stripes!
It rained every day so there was a LOT of mud every where!
We saw lots of famous jockeys and trainers. This is Nick Zito at morning practice.
There is a spring on the track grounds. I thought the water tasted like club soda. Nobody else like it. We were told that if we drank it we would win at the races. It worked!!! The name of the spring reminded me of Nebraska and Mimi.
The boys in their track "uniform".
It was a wonderful trip. Grammy and Paca were great with the babies. they have a whole new appreciation of what I do on a daily basis. They survived the CHAOS!
